Sizzling supper from the grill is a sure pleaser.
TASTY TUESDAY PRESENTS:
Savory Grilled Beef Kabobs
from Campbell's Kitchen
Marinating Time: 30 min. - Prep Time: 15 min. - Cook Time: 20 min.
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) Campbell's(R) Beef Broth
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/2 tsp. garlic powder OR 2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin OR top round steak, cut into 1" pieces
12 medium mushrooms
1 large green pepper, cut into 1" pieces
Directions:
MIX broth, ketchup, oil, thyme, garlic powder and black pepper in shallow
nonmetallic dish. Add beef, mushrooms and green pepper and toss to coat.
Cover and refrigerate 30 min.
REMOVE beef and vegetables from marinade. Thread beef, mushrooms and green
pepper alternately on 4 long skewers.
GRILL kabobs 20 min. or until done, turning and brushing often with
marinade. Discard remaining marinade. Serves 4.
Kitchen Clip:
For a change, add sliced zucchini or onion to the kabobs. While the grill is
still hot, grill pineapple rings for dessert to serve with Pepperidge
Farm(R) cookies.
