Friday night and the hungry gang's all here! Put together this
super-satisfying supper and collect the compliments! You can count on
Campbell's(R) to make it easy and delicious.
Puff Pastry Vegetable Pizza
from Campbell's Kitchen
Thaw Time: 30 min. - Prep Time: 20 min. - Bake Time: 15 min.
1/2 pkg. Pepperidge Farm(R) Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet)
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 cup small broccoli flowerets
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped green OR red pepper
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 cup Prego(R) Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella OR Swiss cheese
Directions:
1. THAW pastry sheet at room temperature 30 min. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. UNFOLD pastry on lightly floured surface. Roll into 15x10"
rectangle and place on baking sheet. Fold over edge about 1/2" to form
rim. Prick center of pastry rectangle thoroughly with fork. Bake 10 min.
3. HEAT oil in skillet. Add broccoli, mushrooms, pepper and onion and
cook until tender.
4. SPREAD pasta sauce over crust to rim. Top with vegetable mixture.
Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 min. or until cheese melts. Cut into 8
pieces*. Serves 4.
*For appetizers, cut into 16 pieces.
TIP: Or use any of your favorite pizza toppers: pepperoni, sliced
pitted olives, pizza cheese or sausage.
Kitchen Clip:
Toss a salad of chopped green lettuce, shredded carrot and cherry
tomatoes with Italian dressing and Pepperidge Farm(R) croutons. Set up a
make-your-own sundae bar for dessert, with vanilla ice cream, toppings,
crushed nuts and whipped cream.
