Kitchen Clip:
Cinco De Mayo, The Fifth Of May, commemorates the Mexican Army's valient
victory over a French Army twice its size at the Battle Of Puebla on May
5, 1862. It is often mistaken to represent Mexican Independence, which
actually dates back more than 50 years earlier to September 16, 1810.
While Cinco de Mayo is more of a regional holiday in Mexico, it has
become increasingly popular in the U.S. where it is a celebration of
Mexican culture, music, customs, folklore and, yes, FOOD! For more Cinco
De Mayo recipe ideas be sure to visit
